Template galleries are almost ubiquitous in SaaS products, so finding vetted UI and UX patterns through popular galleries (e.g. Unsplash) and our competitors allowed us to more easily marry our requirements and user.goals, and streamline the design process. Surveying customer success and sales teams helped the design team understand the ways customers may attempt to find their ideal templates.
Creating high-impact interaction points meant we should focus on users that may not have advanced design skills or familiarity with automation tools - aka the "one man team". To aid this persona, we focused on multiple ways this user might arrive at their desired template(s). We then observed beta users to get detailed information about any prerequisites they might need before they were seeing the template live on their website.
As mentioned above, a thumbnail does not tell the whole story - especially when looking at workflows and how they might behave when applied to the website experience. Thus, a template landing page was created to give all details about the selected workflow
Justuno has seen success with digital marketing agencies and technology partners building templates for shared clients, and marketing those templates to new users. By designing a partner directory within the template library, partners to launch their own templates with various permissions, and allows them to create a partner page that can be searched or featured.
